Perhaps one of the nicest professionals we know, Mark Bustos (@markbustos) has caught the attention of the media—everything from the New York Times and Huffington Post to the Today Show, other leading news programs and our own beauty trade mediA—by simply being himself. A humble, soft spoken celebrity stylist/mens groomer with a gift for connecting with people all of kinds, Mark burst into the industry consciousness following mass media reports of his quietly cutting the hair of homeless men in NYC. The Huffington Post first reported that "Bustos spends every Sunday—his only day off from work—venturing through the city in search of anyone in need who'd appreciate a haircut. Approaching each person with the same, simple phrase, "I want to do something nice for you today," Bustos provides cuts to up to six homeless people every Sunday, capturing many stylings on his Instagram account." His good work has influenced countless others to follow in his footsteps in giving back.
In today's artist stories video, Bustos talks about his upbringing and his passion for barbering that started at an early age. Watch below to learn more.
