Rodarte's debut at Paris Couture Week defined ethereal elegance with feminine silhouettes, lace, floral prints and oversized metallic bow accessories. Morgan Taylor Lacquer lead artist, Traceylee translated the collection's delicate aesthetic onto the model's nails with sheer polishes, pale shades and subtle designs.
This delicate look was created with two coats of Morgan Taylor Lacquer Sugar Fix—a romantic, light pink with an opalescent shimmer as the base. Next, a dainty chain of daisies was painted on the pinky and ring finger using Morgan Taylor Lacquer All White Now, a Nail Harmony Dotting Tool and yellow crystals fastened in the center. The look blooms at the cuticle with a bouquet of real flowers secured with lash glue.
"The move toward a more feminine and delicate nail look is a nice balance from the hardness of the chrome and metallic trend we've seen the past year. Nail trends change so quickly these days, but can be a bit cyclical with the seasons," Traceylee says.
"For me, creating the nail trends for upcoming seasons is based on a number of factors. What is the designer inspiration, and did he have any particular nail inspiration in mind? What are the hair and makeup looks? What's the mood of the collection and the lighting? But most often, I create looks based on a combination of all of these as well as what feels right to me."
