These Are Beauty Professionals’ Most-Read Articles in 2024

The topic of inclusivity in cosmetology education was the most widely read among beauty business owners and professionals in 2024, says the Professional Beauty Association, which released its annual Top 10 list of most-clicked articles shared throughout the year in its Beauty Industry Update newsletter.

The top article, "California Now Requires Textured Hair Training in Beauty Schools," was part of ongoing coverage by American Salon about the movement to close a critical gap in U.S. cosmetology education that sees most mainstream beauty schools providing little or no training in caring for textured hair.

The No. 2 article on the list addressed the same topic: "The Waves and Texture of Beauty Industry Change" by Essence magazine.
