Thousands of beauty and wellness professionals renting workspaces from Sola Salons have pledged to donate the cost of one service ticket on March 21 to the non-profit Beauty Changes Lives, the salon-suite company has announced.
The “solopreneurs” are participating in Beauty Changes Lives’ “One Day One Ticket” initiative, which raises funds for its scholarship, grant, and mentorship programs that support beauty students and entrepreneurs.
The campaign is open to any beauty or wellness business or professional who wants to contribute. Participants can register here.
Sola, which introduced the salon-suite franchise model to the U.S. and Canada in 2004, has more than 20,000 salon and spa professionals renting suites in 700+ locations.
“As the first salon-suite concept to partner with Beauty Changes Lives, we understand the significant responsibility and opportunity in future-proofing the beauty industry for current and incoming independent professionals,” says Emily Alders, Sola’s Director of Education.
“It's a privilege for our 20,000+ beauty professionals and franchise owners to play a direct role in enhancing accessibility to industry careers.”
Sola’s partnership with Beauty Changes Lives began with a $25,000 donation to the nonprofit’s “K(no)w Beauty Secrets” campaign, which challenges myths and stereotypes regarding careers in beauty. The company also provides hands-on mentorship services to Beauty Changes Lives to guide and coach salon and spa professionals.
