Olivia Garden Offering Free Recycling for Hair Tools

Old hair tools will have a new lease on life thanks to a new program launched by Olivia Garden, which is now accepting used hairbrushes, styling appliances, and other hair tools for recycling.

The salon pro tool company is also offering a 10 percent retail coupon to consumers sending in their discarded hair-care items (from any manufacturer) for recycling.

Olivia Garden is partnering with TerraCycle, which specializes in recycling complex waste items, for eco-friendly solutions in discarding old hair-care tools.

"We're impassioned to reduce the beauty industry’s environmental footprint,” says Olivia Garden co-owner Anne Maza. “This recycling program is a huge step forward in making everyone's beauty routines, regardless of if they use Olivia Garden or other brands, more eco-friendly.”

Consumers are asked to clean and wash their used hairbrushes and tools and send them in to the company's Antioch headquarters. When the shipment is received, they will be emailed a 10 percent Olivia Garden coupon (limited to four per customer, per year). Detailed instructions are here

This program is the latest in the brand’s ongoing sustainability efforts, which include using recycled materials in product design and prioritizing sustainable manufacturing processes.
