Haircuts4Homeless, a UK charity that creates space and acceptance for homeless people through a haircut, is on a mission to create a coffee table book, with all proceeds going toward the charity. The goal is to enable Haircuts4Homeless to continue their contribution to homeless communities after experiencing a drop in funding.
Renowned photographer Jacks Eames is partnering with the organization's founder Stewart Roberts and session stylist Leigh Keates on the project.
The Crowdfunder campaign launches today to help with printing costs. Click here to preorder the book, to donate or to share.
About Haircuts4Homeless
Inspired by the actions of hairdressers around the world cutting hair for people affected by homelessness, Stewart set out to build a community of skilled hairdresser volunteers who give their time free of charge to provide haircuts for people suffering from homelessness in the UK.
For the past seven years Stewart has been traveling the country with his team and running sessions at various refuges, shelters and crisis centers. These sessions aren’t just about providing haircuts, they are about creating safe spaces for vulnerable people to experience empathy, touch and a boost to their self-esteem.
