After a recent meeting with key beauty industry leaders, the Green Beauty Community has made the leap to from advocacy group to nonprofit.
Key members of the organization advocating for sustainable practices in the beauty industry made the announcement in time to fundraise for the Earth Gives Day Initiative, promoting the work of environmental and climate-focused nonprofits.

"As a nonprofit, we are now uniquely positioned to accelerate our mission of driving sustainability in beauty,” says GBC founder Daniel Johnson. “Our goal is to empower professionals, brands, and consumers alike to embrace eco-conscious choices that benefit both people and the planet.”
Discussions with major leaders in beauty on how to best support industry sustainability led to the decision to transition the group into a 501(c)(3) organization.
The meeting, held at America’s Beauty Show outside Chicago, included representatives from Pivot Point International, Innersense Organic Beauty, OWAY, Insight Professional, Lucas Products, and Green Circle Salons.
“We invite our supporters, industry partners, and the broader community to unite with us,” Johnson says. “Your contributions will directly fund initiatives aimed at educating and inspiring sustainable practices throughout the beauty industry."
