Great Clips Inc. has been named the Official Hair Salon Sponsor of the 2024 College Football Playoff (CFP), securing exclusive marketing rights to the sports juggernaut that include ad spots during the semifinal Prudential Rose Bowl and the playoff Allstate Sugar Bowl.
Through the partnership, announced by ESPN parent company Disney Advertising, Great Clips will host a high-profile fan event at the Allstate Championship Tailgate before the Sugar Bowl, spray-painting ticketholders’ hair with their team colors. The brand will also be a presenting sponsor at the CFP Media Day in Houston on Jan. 6.
“We look forward to associating our brand with the growing popularity of the College Football Playoff,” says Great Clips executive Lisa Hake, “and bringing fun experiences to fans that allow them to showcase their fandom through their hair.”
ESPN will feature Great Clips’ event activities during the playoff run on social media and throughout its sports programming, including on its top-rated show SportsCenter.
The salon franchise, which has more than 4,400 locations in the U.S. and Canada, will be running TV commercials during 30 bowl games including the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA and the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, LA, both on Jan. 1.
