The Cécred-BEYGOOD Fund — announced when megastar Beyoncé launched her Cécred hair-care line — is accepting $10K scholarship and grant applications from cosmetology students and beauty business owners in areas “chosen for their large, diverse community of hair stylists: Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and New Jersey.
“Fostering talent, promoting professionalism, and supporting entrepreneurship within the hair industry is deeply important to us,” says the Cécred-BEYGood Fund in announcing the scholarships and grants. The first round of applications for both will be accepted through March 20.
The fund plans to award 25 $10K scholarships each year to students attending partner cosmetology schools with inclusive curriculums, plus 25 $10K grants each year to beauty business owners and independents in those states.
The partner schools are:
- Beaver Beauty Academy in Atlanta, GA
- Trenz Beauty Academy in Chicago, IL
- Universal College of Beauty in Los Angeles, CA
- Franklin Institute in Houston, TX
- Janas Cosmetology Academy in Clementon, NJ
