CIDESCO, the world's major international beauty therapy Association, has announced its latest updates for September’s 65th World Congress and Exhibition in Mumbai, including its selection of industry professional speakers and the launch of the registration for its inaugural International Make-up Competition.
Coinciding with the Professional Beauty India show, CIDESCO will bring together the largest gathering of industry bodies both from India and internationally, to engage in discussion on the industry’s most important issues, learn new skills and network.
Harnessing the theme of Nurture through Nature, this year’s schedule includes aspirational and highly educational seminars by some of the leading experts in the field, discussing the latest industry research and innovation, trends and techniques, products and technology.
Renowned speakers include Biochemist and LESAEA trainer Ms Ronelle Iten, Ayurvedic specialist Dr. Kannan Nettah, Cosmetic Dermatologist and Laser specialist Dr. Apratim Goel and Dr Diana L. Howard, Vice President of Global Education of Research & Development for the International Dermal Institute. Topics include; extrinsic & intrinsic factors that affect skin and facial analysis, face and body contouring using radio frequency and cosmetic ingredients and their effects on the skin.
Opened to both students and professionals, CIDESCO also announced the registration opening to its annual International Make-up Competition to identify and reward the best make-up artists. The theme of this year’s competition is ‘Five Elements of Nature’. The competition allows for fantasy and prosthetic make-up with body art, encouraging the use of hairstyle, wardrobe and props to assist in conveying the competitors’ interpretation.
Winners will receive prizes and the winners in both the student and professional categories will be awarded with a trophy of excellence. The winners will also be featured in CIDESCO’s LINK International magazine which is distributed to members worldwide. All participants will receive a CIDESCO World Congress Make-Up & Body Art Certificate of Participation.
