Paul Mitchell Announces Color Outside the Lines 2018 Contest Winners

For the third annual Color Outside the Lines competition, Paul Mitchell invited participants to show off their haircoloring skills for a chance to snag prizes, including a trip to Las Vegas to attend Gathering 2018—JPMS' industry extravaganza for salon professionals. 

Beginning January 1, 2018, participants submitted photos for two different categories: Natural Makeover, a salon-friendly look using natural tones; and Creative Makeover, an avant-garde look using fashion tones. 

After the contest submissions were closed, judges blindly chose their winners for Best National Entry, Best Student Entry and Best International Entry based on 70 percent hair color technique, choice of colors and how the color respects the style; and 30 percent overall vision, creativity and interpretation of the trend. 

Paul Mitchell recently announced this year's winners. Grand prize winners will receive airfare and hotel accommodations to attend the Paul Mitchell Gathering, where they will be recognized during an on-state presentation. They will also have the opportunity to be part of a Paul Mitchell collection shoot.
