JPMS partnered with world-renowned industrial designer Karim Rashid to create an elevated collection of heat tools that merge style with technology. Enter the Neuro Halo Touchscreen Dryer and Neuro Halo 1" Styling Iron, that in addition to their sleek design feature a SmartSense microchip and a backlit digital touchscreen display.
Rashid, who’s designed everything from bottles of hand soap and Pepsi to lip balm to light fixtures to shoes and beyond, made his foray into styling tool design with Neuro Halo. “This was the first time I’ve ever applied high design to haircare tools, but it’s long been a category
I was eager to work with,” he said in a press release. “Humans touch an average of 600 objects a day, their potential to help us or make us happy is huge. My design challenge was to create something original, remarkable and that elevates the everyday.”
When designing Neuro Halo, he took every element into consideration, including ease of use, weight, balance and the “fins,” which were 3-D printed over and over again to ensure ergonomic fit and feel.
Now, the details. The Neuro Halo Dryer has a touchscreen display; 1875 watts of power; three heat, airflow and ion settings plus a cool shot button; and a SmartSense microchip with a “Clean Filter” indicator light. The Neuro Halo Styling Iron includes 1-inch wide premium gunmetal IsoTherm extended, cushioned and beveled titanium plates and heats up to 450° in 25 seconds for faster styling. The SmartSense microchip ensures speedy heat recovery, regulating temperature 50 times per second.
