America's Beauty Show (ABS) by Cosmetologists Chicago recently announced that the 2018 ABS Global Image Awards are open for entry. In 2017, the first-ever ABS Global Image Awards drew hundreds of entries from across the globe from professional hairstylists, emerging stylists and students. Anticipating an even larger pool of submissions this year, the 2018 winners of the world-wide photo competition will be recognized at The Beauty Changes Lives Experience on April 29, 2018, at the famed Art Institute of Chicago.
Entrants are encouraged to enter one of nine different categories including:
- Haircutting
- ColorAmerica Colorist of the Year
- Avant Garde
- Editorial
- Texture
- Men's Cutting
- Salon Team
- International Nail Technician of the Year
- Student
Each category, with the exception of Student and International Nail Technician of the Year, requires three separate images of three different models. In addition to each individual category winner, one submission will be awarded The Leo Passage Gold Trophy in honor of the late Pivot Point founder and Cosmetologists Chicago member, Leo Passage.
