Odile Gilbert keyed two NYFW FW ‘23 shows for TRESemmé. For Rodarte, Odile created The Gothic Fairy; and for Jonathan Simkhai, she created The Sleek Side Part.

The Inspiration:
“We wanted to create a gothic fairy look which is the inspiration of the Rodarte’s collection. The hair is intended to appear natural with a carefree feel. It’s our take on a gothic fairy aesthetic,” said Gilbert, Celebrity hair artist for TRESemmé.

The Breakdown:
- Wash the hair with TRESemmé Pro Infusion Fluid Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner to provide a fluid, silky base for styling.
- Prior to blow drying, apply TRESemmé Pro Infusion Fluid Smooth Hair Tonic Water evenly throughout damp hair to smooth, add shine, and enhance natural movement.
- Apply TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Heat Protect Spray and blow dry on high heat using a round brush until hair is straight.
- Use a 1 1/4″ flatiron to straighten hair on medium heat to create a smooth, silky look.
- Create a center part using a pintail comb. From the front of the hairline, separate two sections on each side of the middle part. Create a thin, loose flat twist framing the face until the twist is hidden behind the ear and secure with an elastic.
- Allow a layer of hair from the crown to frame the face and loosely cover the braids, and mist with TRESemmé Extra Hold Hair Spray to set the style in place. Add additional hair accessories once complete.

The Breakdown:
- To add shine with natural movement before blow drying, apply TRESemmé Pro Infusion Fluid Smooth Hair Tonic Water evenly throughout damp hair imparting a smooth and silky finish.
- Once completely dried straight, part the hair to one side using a pintail comb. PRO TIP – Use the middle of the eye as a guide for side part placement.
- Apply TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Heat Defense Spray to protect the hair and seal in shine before using a flat iron to create a pin straight texture.
- Finish the look with a mist of TRESemmé Ultra Fine Hair Spray for natural control.
