Hot off her appearance at the Golden Globes last week, Kaley Cuoco walked the red carpet at the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday with a completely different hairstyle.
When asked about the inspiration behind the look, celebrity hairstylist Marilee Albin shared that “Kaley just had her hair up for the Golden Globes last week, so she just wanted a soft, bouncy, and pretty blowout to complement her Dior dress.”
Albin partnered with Redken to bring Cuoco’s hairstyle to life and shares her step by step instructions here.
· Albin started by washing Cuoco’s hair with Redken’s Acidic Bonding Concentrate Shampoo and Conditioner to strengthen and intensely condition the hair before styling.
· Albin then prepped Cuoco’s damp hair with the Acidic Bonding Concentrate Leave-In Treatment by applying a quarter size amount from roots to ends. This step is the foundation for the whole look because not only did it help create a base to layer the other products, but it also hydrated the hair and added shine to the blonde ends.
· After prepping the hair, she used a round brush to blow-dry and sprayed each section with Brushable Hairspray before setting the whole head in big pin curls. Once in the pin curls, she sprayed the hair with more hairspray while it set.
· After 10 minutes, Albin pulled out the curls and had Cuoco flip her head upside down. While her hair was upside down, Albin sprayed Redken’s Spray Wax throughout for extra shine and texture. Redken’s products are great for layering each other and don’t get greasy.
· As the finishing touch, Albin used the Dry Texture Finishing Spray at her crown, in her bangs, and through the front layers.
