Get the Look: Christina Aguilera's Retro Hollywood Waves

Christina Aguilera wowed the crowd at Sabrina Carpenter's recent L.A. show by joining the "Espresso" singer onstage in a black corset and thigh-high silver boots, her hair in long platinum waves created by celebrity stylist Iggy Rosales

The two pop superstars performed a duet of Aguilera's hits "Ain't No Other Man" and "What a Girl Wants" during Carpenter's sold-out Nov. 15 concert during her Short n' Sweet Tour stop at the Crypto.com Arena.

“Inspired by the elegance of classic Hollywood, I created a look that combines soft, voluminous waves with a hint of drama and sophistication,” Rosales says.

“Using hairtalk extensions in colors 60A (Light Blonde) and 613 (Platinum Blonde), I achieved a stunning blend that enhances Christina’s natural beauty and elevates her stage presence."

Step By Step by Iggy Rosales

  • Extension Preparation: I selected hairtalk extensions in colors 60A and 613 to add dimension and depth, creating a luminous, natural look. I used a mix of lengths to achieve full-body volume, focusing on mid-length and ends for cascading waves.
  • Application Technique: Starting with a full head application, I carefully placed the extensions to maximize volume while ensuring seamless blending. I focused on creating even distribution around the crown and sides to achieve the desired balance and fullness. I layered the extensions strategically, placing more volume at the bottom to allow for a natural wave flow.
  • Styling the Waves: I used a large-barrel curling iron to create soft, uniform waves, rolling sections away from the face for that timeless Hollywood effect. After the curls cooled, I gently brushed through them to transform them into smooth, cohesive waves. I applied a lightweight finishing spray to hold the waves in place without stiffness, maintaining a soft, touchable finish.
  • Finishing Touches: I added a touch of shine serum to accentuate the blonde tones and give the hair a reflective, high-gloss finish. I parted the hair slightly off-center for a classic look that enhances facial symmetry and complements Christina’s stage aesthetic.
