The Blonds is famous for its over-the-top, show-stopping runway looks at New York Fashion Week—from the clothing to the makeup to the hair and nails. Here, see this season's inspiration, techniques and key products used that helped tie the looks together.
HAIR
Inspiration: “This season’s look was inspired by the fluidity of Mercury and the glamour of the galaxy! Technique:
- On damp hair, use a dime-size amount of Moroccanoil Treatment or Moroccanoil Treatment Light for finer hair and lighter tones on mid-lengths to ends to provide the perfect foundation for styling.
- To protect the hair from all heat styling, apply Perfect Defense on the hair globally.
- Blow the hair out smooth using the Power Performance Ionic Hair Dryer and Ceramic 55 mm Round Brush.
- Then, using the Styling Comb, create an arched part that runs diagonally across the back of the head, beginning from the left temple sloping down to the right side of the head.
- Next, gather the left side of the hair in a low ponytail and the right side into a high ponytail Be sure to use a generous amount of Styling Gel as you directionally mold the hair into each ponytail.
- Once each ponytail is secured with a hair bungee, use more Styling Gel over the ponytails as you twist each into a bun on top of themselves.
- One bun sits on the lower right side of the head, while the other bun sits on the upper left-hand side near the hairline—utilize bobby pins to secure each bun in place.
- Then, anchor the entire look with an ample amount of Luminous Hairspray Strong to strengthen the hold of the hair.
- Finish the look by spraying Glimmer Shine throughout the hair to add an extra shine.
MAKEUP

Inspiration: Eccentric, over the top fantasy world, virtual reality show, sci-fi
Technique:
- File nails in long, stiletto shapes.
- Apply CND Shellac Base Coat and cure.
- Apply either Black Pool layered with silver chrome powder, Kiss the Skipper layered with pink chrome powder, Satin Pajamas layered with rose gold chrome powder, Smile Maker layered with gold chrome powder or Dark Lava layered with Pearl effect.
- Top with Shellac Top Coat and cure.
