Selena Gomez Giving Makeup Fans a Reason to Stock Up on Oct. 10

Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez is once again partnering with Sephora on Oct. 10 for a 24-hour fundraising push for mental health, donating 100 percent of its sales on World Mental Health Day to the Rare Impact Fund.

During "Make a Rare Impact Day," all sales of Rare Beauty products through Sephora and Sephora at Kohl's — both online and in-store — will go to Selena Gomez's Rare Impact Fund. The nonprofit supports youth mental health resources and education worldwide.

The singer-actress has been candid about her battles with mental illness, sharing her story in a 2022 documentary, My Mind and Me.

Her Rare Beauty brand donates 1 percent of its sales year-round to the Rare Impact Fund, which currently supports 26 mental-health organizations on 5 continents.

"When I launched the Rare Impact Fund, my goal was to expand access to mental health services and education for young people — something I craved in my own youth," Gomez says.

"The mental health crisis continues to impact young people disproportionately," she says. "Partners like Sephora are instrumental.”

World Mental Health Day, an initiative by the World Health Organization, aims to raise awareness and mobilize efforts to support mental health around the globe, plus give mental-health professionals a platform to discuss their work.

Donations on Oct. 10 will be directed across the 27 countries where Sephora operates. It's the second year in a row the beauty retail giant is hosting "Make a Rare Impact Day."

"Rare Beauty’s commitment to mental health is a perfect illustration of how beauty can make a difference," says Guillaume Motte, President and CEO of Sephora. "We are committed to make this initiative a success across our markets."
