Over 10 years ago, Priscilla Anadon walked out of a thankless corporate job in pursuit of something more. That move landed her at Toni&Guy Academy in Orange County, CA, where a passion for styling bloomed. “That longing feeling I had was no more, and with that I took my newfound skills back to San Francisco,” she says.
She worked at several salons and alongside great talent, honing her artistic and business skills. However, when the pandemic struck—while Anadon was on maternity leave with a newborn, nonetheless—and businesses began to shutter, she needed to make another move. In November 2021, with the help of family and friends, she was able to open her very own space. Enter: Wild Léon.
The 800-square-foot salon houses two styling chairs and two wash stations—stocked with Unite products—allowing for just two clients in the salon at once for a more intimate and curated experience. Plus, during COVID times, a two-at-a-time policy has become extra appealing. White walls and light furniture give a warm, calming vibe, and the boho chic décor—think pampas grass, rattan furniture and lots of beige—has a modern ’70s effect. “Our aim here is to make clients feel like this is their own space away from the hustle and bustle of life,” Anadon says.
Anadon’s fearlessness and steadfastness during trying times surely is something to admire. Her advice for beauty pros: “Be open-minded and adapt if you need to. The times are changing. People want not only good hair but good service, too.”
