How Not to Sell Salon Gift Cards

As you market your salon gift cards during the holiday season, make sure you’re promoting the right thing.

People don’t want a card, per se: they want an experience. Talk about the amazing self-care experience this little piece of plastic represents.

Remind them your gift cards are tickets to luxe beauty and wellness benefits, such as:

  • Hair, skin, body, or nail services that make them look and feel fabulous.
  • Wellness therapies customized to their needs.
  • Rejuvenation, relaxation, and replenishment.
  • Someone to take care of them for a change.
  • Mini getaways and stolen moments for much-needed self-care.
  • Their choice of beauty and wellness products to make them feel polished and nourished every day.

With that in mind, update your language wherever you promote your gift cards: your website, social media, e-blasts, marketing texts, and in-store signage.

(Then, in January, compare this year’s holiday gift card sales with last year’s. Betcha you’ll be pleased.)
