On Monday, June 19th, Rodney Cutler, Redken Brand Ambassador, will open the doors of his SoHo salon for the first “Fearless Braids” bar pop-up event, benefiting Fearless Beauty. The non-profit started in 2014, with a desire to make a change and help women in India transform their lives. Today, Fearless Beauty provides free vocational training for underprivileged women in India, teaching them how to cut and style hair, so that they can provide a living for themselves.
Heather Packer, the founder of Fearless Beauty and a senior stylist at Cutler Salon, along with 10 other Cutler Salon stylists, will volunteer their time at the event on Monday, June 19th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cutler Salon in SoHo.
Tickets for “Fearless Braiding” are $50 and RSVPs are required. Each attendee will receive a 30-minute hair braiding appointment, wine, hors d‘oeuvres, and entry into a raffle for beauty giveaways. For tickets, please visit fearlessbraids.splashthat.com. For more information about the event, follow the hashtags #FearlessBraiding and #BraidADay.
Since its launch, Fearless Beauty has graduated 25 students through three training programs. Participants take daily classes for three months and continue their education through a weekly community haircutting program. Meet Fearless women and learn more at http://fearlessbeauty.org.
