Salótto at the 1 Hotel South Beach Miami takes things personally when it comes to satisfying the beauty needs of its clients. In fact, the salon’s new concept, which was created by renowned hair expert, colorist and co-founder and former partner of Warren Tricomi, Joel Warren, provides clients with a bespoke experience that’s changing the traditional hair salon model. While a typical client visit requires service from multiple stylists and employees, at Salótto, each team member is handpicked and personally trained by Warren to provide the client with every aspect of the appointment—from greeting them as they enter the salon to shampooing, styling and completing the transaction.
The 1,000-square-foot salon, which opened in December 2016, features a modern, yet warm atmosphere complete with imported and sustainable materials, and exposed pipes and lighting for an industrial feel. The salon’s menu consists of hair, nail and makeup services, and all team members are trained on each of the salon’s product lines to offer educated suggestions to clients. “At Salótto, the stylist is in total control and has the power of what’s going on with the client,” says Warren. “This eliminates the chaos that goes on in salons because color, cut and wash are all done by one person.” Warren has more salons like Salótto in the works; keep an eye out for his next project.
